ADOM: The Power of the Crowd
Ancient Domains of Mystery is about to be back in active development, thanks to people like you and me!
One of the largest and most immersive roguelikes in existence, ADOM is an amazing combination of most elements the rpg genre has to offer. It has lots of monsters, loot, dungeons, character types, and even a story with multiple endings. Unfortunately is also has bugs and no graphics, but both of these are about to get fixed.
The Resurrect ADOM development project on indiegogo.com aims to pay for developer time to fix bugs, add graphics, and add content. Just three days into the 60 day funding period and fans of the decades old game have already pledged more than 25% of the total goal. Being someone who helped an already great game become greater gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. If you haven’t yet contributed and would like a warm fuzzy in you, click on over and help out!
The campaign has featured on Rock, Paper, Shotgun, Adventures of a Newbie Roguelike Dev, and is trending like wildfire on reddit!
